We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Estimator to join our team. The Estimator will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, analyzing plans and specifications, and collaborating with project managers and engineers to ensure competitive and profitable bids.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field (preferred).
  • 3+ years of experience in estimating heavy civil construction projects.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., HCSS HeavyBid) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple bids simultaneously.
  • Must have a valid Driver’s License.

Responsibilities

  • Review project plans, specifications, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Analyze labor, material, and equipment requirements for projects.
  • Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes.
  • Prepare bid proposals and ensure compliance with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers during pre-construction planning.
  • Maintain historical cost data and assist in budgeting and forecasting.
