About The Position

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Estimator (Experienced or Senior) to join our team for a proprietary Air Dominance program in Hazelwood, Missouri. Our team is open to a broad range of experience levels including Level 3 and Level 4 Specialists to find the best fit for the position. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes and follow-on work.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
• Current Secret security clearance
• Experience with Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) requirements / U.S. Government contracts
• Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis
• Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness

Nice To Haves

• 5+ years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
• Experience performing parametric estimates and data analysis
• Experience performing substantiated quick-turn (1-2 weeks) Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) estimates and tests of reasonableness
• Experience with critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

• Develops/leads estimates and prices from technical requirements through the design, build, and aftermarket support stages of the program.
• Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices.
• Evaluates requests for proposal, substantiates estimates/pricing and assembles price proposals.
• Develops estimating and pricing methods.
• Evaluates and develops business cases.
• Performs analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing/estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.).
• Develops and maintains pricing models.
• Develops/applies/maintains rates and factors for estimating, pricing and proposals.
• Potential for development/application/maintenance of estimating relationships or factors in support of estimates.
• Performs compliance activities including providing compliant cost volumes.
