Your Opportunity: Taylor DM Brands, a Taylor Company, is looking for an Estimating Rep to join the team in one of our offices in Amsterdam, NY or White Bear Lake, MN. The Estimating Rep is responsible for forecasting project and product costs and preparing accurate price quotations to support Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing. This role ensures pricing aligns with company strategy, margin targets, and revenue recognition requirements while meeting service-level expectations.

Work Authorization: To be considered for Taylor opportunities, candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship.

Your Hours: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm in office

Requirements

• Familiarity with standard estimating and pricing concepts, practices, and procedures
• Understanding of: Products and materials, Manufacturing processes and production rates, Production equipment capabilities (preferred; required at higher levels)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to exercise judgment, plan work, and manage multiple requests

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• Estimating, pricing, or related experience

Responsibilities

• Forecast project and product costs by gathering specifications and compiling detailed cost data
• Prepare price quotations for new orders, project continuations, and special requests
• Compute cost estimates for: Raw materials, Purchased equipment, Subcontracted work, Labor, transportation, and related production costs
• Apply established pricing programs using: Pricing databases, Product and service costing models, Sales quoting tools
• Calculate profit percentages and add margin to cost estimates to determine final pricing
• Collect and validate information from cross-functional partners as needed to ensure accurate quotes
• Support the establishment and maintenance of pricing standards and pricing databases
• Ensure quotes comply with budgetary constraints and internal guidelines
• Perform a variety of estimating and pricing tasks under general supervision
