Summary: The Estimating Coordinator is an integral part of the Estimating Department. The ideal candidate will need to possess strong computer and organizational skills; have a solid attention to detail and the ability to multitask. Document control for each bid will be managed by the Estimating Coordinator as well as communication with sub-contractors, maintaining the bid calendar and compiling sub bids, as required. The ideal candidate should be familiar with construction industry lingo and possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements

  • Ability to prioritize, multitask and possessing excellent phone skills are required.
  • Experience with Word and Excel is required, experience with Smart Bid and Procore is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the estimating department.
  • Create and maintain proposal folders with all updates/addenda to plans and specifications.
  • Assist with the sub-contractor bid solicitation process.
  • Manage and update sub-contractor contact information.
  • Solicitation of sub-trade pricing and MBE, WMBE, DVBE participation both in person and on the phone.
  • Assist in the preparation of project estimates, requests for proposals and budgets.
  • Assist with project specific and general prequalification questionnaires.
  • Procure bid bonds, builders’ risk, and insurance requirements as needed.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of marketing materials.
  • Other administrative duties and responsibilities as required by the leader and/or the team.
