About The Position

Maximize donated goods value by ensuring efficient and cost-effective operation through safe and timely materials processing, sorting and packing of donated items, and movement of donations within Goodwill Industries of Middle TN (GIMT), Donations Department, and Concierge Estate services. The Estate Services Associate will promote a positive work environment that celebrates our vision, mission and core values in every action and interaction with team members, donors, customers, management and persons served.

Requirements

  • Ability to stand and move around for extended periods, lift objects up to 50 pounds, pushing/pulling, bending/stooping, reaching, turning and repetitive motions.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment with different cultural backgrounds and experiences.
  • Must have valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures good stewardship of all donations through proper handling, sorting, packing, and processing of donated items in accord with the policies and procedures of GIMT.
  • Maintains high standards of donor relations and customer service through prompt, efficient, friendly, and courteous service at all times with the goal of providing 100% donor satisfaction and world class customer service.
  • Helps maintain inventory of all needed equipment and supplies for Concierge Estate Services.
  • Operates hand truck, furniture dolly, pallet jack, and other assigned equipment in a safe manner and in accordance with organizational and safety policies and procedures.
  • Assists as part of the Concierge Estate team in packing and processing donated goods at donation events and locations as well as unloading items at delivery locations.
  • Ensures all donated items are properly secured to prevent damage in transit.
  • Maintains a clean and safe work environment.
  • Assists other Donations Departments initiatives in donor acquisition as needed.
  • Regular, reliable attendance, as defined in Goodwill’s attendance policy.
  • Works well in a team environment as well as independent work when appropriate.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
