About The Position

ENSCO is seeking an ESS Test and Evaluation Engineer to join a systems engineering team defining the next generation of space communication systems supporting US Space Force (USSF) satellite communications. The candidate will support Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) activities in a multidisciplinary and collaborative environment. The candidate will interface and collaborate with SE&I team members, contractors, government civilians and members of the USSF. The candidate will lead and support several working groups responsible for leading technical discussion, resolve and identify risk, requirement gaps, developing briefings, writing, and tracking action items, and authoring meeting minutes. The MILSATCOM Systems Engineering, Integration, and Test (MSEIT) effort provides leading edge Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) for the US Space Force’s Space Systems Center (SSC). We support the Space Force’s acquisition of state of the art satellite communications systems, providing global secure, survivable, and protected communications for our nation’s warfighters. We seek technical individuals who will thrive in a highly collaborative work environment of small teams, using the most modern tools and methodologies to tackle the challenges of integrating complex space and ground communications systems. This position is on-site in El Segundo, CA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science
  • 10+ years demonstrated experience in systems engineering
  • 10+ years with system specification, verification, or analysis
  • Strong interpersonal skills, communication (oral and written), and presentation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)
  • Due to security requirements, work is required to be on-site in a secure facility
  • ABILITY TO OBTAIN AND MAINTAIN A DOD SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION FOR WHICH, YOU MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in technical field such as engineering, mathematics, physics, or computer science
  • Experience with MILSATCOM, such as AEHF, EPS, WGS, and FAB-T terminal programs
  • Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients
  • Experience with ground and airborne systems, such as terminals and networks
  • Certifications in Systems Engineering (INCOSE ESEP, CSEP)
  • Certifications in MBSE (OCSMP)
  • Certifications in Agile Development
  • Knowledge and experience in Jira and Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Develop T&E strategy, Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP), requirement verification and test plans, test objectives, test methodology, and evaluation criteria
  • Provide support to develop/update the Systems Integration and Test Plan (SITP) and the Systems Engineering Plan (SEP)
  • Collect, review, analyze, and report T&E data; document assessments and recommendations
  • Support implementation of common Test and Evaluation database for the program; integrate Digital Engineering and Environment processes
  • Support T&E reviews, audits, Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), Deficiency Review Boards (DRBs), Materiel Improvement Process Review Boards (MIPRBs), and Technical Interchange Meetings (TIMs)
  • Review and assess Test and Integration-related deliverables; work closely with multiple Integrated Product Teams to refine test and integration implementation of strategies
  • Develop and present packages to communicate recommendations, assessment, and strategies to customers at different levels; conduct IPT meetings/reviews and collaborate with integration and test teams
  • Develop and document risks and mitigation plans for systems engineering, test, and integration; use Digital Engineering and Environment tools (i.e. Jira, Confluence, etc.) for different efforts
