Requirements

• Required certification: Teaching English to Speakers of Other Lang. (TESOL), PK-12 (111); Master's degree preferred.
• Experience in an educational setting is preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of instruction, assessment and progress-monitoring
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of technology for communication and delivery of instruction
• Bilingual (Spanish and/or Portuguese

Responsibilities

• Work in small groups with limited English proficient students to help them become proficient in English and reach their goals.
• Supports the ESL Teacher in the classroom
• Monitors, and evaluates students' progress in relation to district/school curriculum and policies and other planned goals and objectives.
• Integrate technology and online instructional resources to accelerate English acquisition and digital literacy.
• Attend professional development designed to improve the instruction and assessment of English Learners
• Establishes and maintains standards for behavior that foster student self-discipline and positive relationships among students.
