About The Position

First Merchants Bank is seeking an Escrow Loan Servicing Specialist to join our team! This position will perform a variety of maintenance and transactions to service and support Commercial and Consumer Loans with a focus on Escrow. Tasks are to be performed in a timely manner as deemed critical in accordance with Regulatory requirements and departmental procedures.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
A minimum of two (2) years of experience in financial service, loan operations, servicing, or lending.

Nice To Haves

At least 1 year experience working with Commercial and Consumer loan escrow accounts is preferred.

Responsibilities

Support the commercial and consumer loan sales team by extending the FMB mission through responsiveness to internal business partner phone calls, emails, and other communication request methods in a professional, thorough, accurate and timely manner.
Manage escrow accounts for commercial and consumer loans including the collection and disbursement of taxes, insurance premiums, and other required fees related to escrow.
Complete commercial and consumer loan maintenance submitted via workflow to the escrow queue or other authorized channels escalating the issue or resolution when necessary. This would include escrow payments.
Work with third party vendors to manage escrow such as Lereta, Miniter, Hub, insurance agents, taxing authorities, ect.
Assist with testing Core Processing system enhancements.
Open and maintain escrow accounts including preparing and reviewing escrow statements, reconciling escrow, processing surplus refunds, reporting, etc.
Participate in special assignments as assigned.
