About The Position

An Escrow Assistant provides clerical and administrative support to the escrow team while assisting with the processing of escrow transactions. Successful Escrow Assistants are dependable, cooperative, diligent, detailed, and disciplined. Essential Functions: Answer incoming phone calls and greet customers upon their arrival to the office. Receive purchase contracts/escrow instructions and assist in the preparation of the transaction for closing by receipting earnest money funds, entering data, and ordering title reports. Assist in preparing transactions for closing of escrow by reviewing title reports for accuracy, clearing title report requirements, and providing documentation for the completion of the transaction and loan processing. Provide updates and answer inquiries from sellers, buyers, agents, and lenders. Organizational Relationships: Has frequent contact and communicates continuously with visitors, customers, employees, and vendors. Qualifications Spanish English bilingual preferred High School Diploma or equivalent 1-2+ years of experience as an Escrow Assistant I 2+ years of Administrative/Clerical experience 3+ years of experience in the Real Estate or Title Industry is preferred. Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office Ability to type 40+ WPM Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate via phone, email, or in-person High level of organizational skills and attention to detail Basic knowledge of escrow practices and terminology Strong oral and written communication skills Ability to problem-solve independently and with others Physical Demands & Work Environment: The Escrow Assistant must be able to bend, stoop, stand, drive, and sit for various lengths of time. They must be able to lift and carry items up to 20 lbs. This is primarily a sedentary office classification and employees work in an office with moderate noise levels, controlled temperature conditions, and no direct exposure to hazardous physical substances.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 1-2+ years of experience as an Escrow Assistant I
  • 2+ years of Administrative/Clerical experience
  • Strong computer skills and working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Ability to type 40+ WPM
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate via phone, email, or in-person
  • High level of organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Basic knowledge of escrow practices and terminology
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
