About The Position

ERT Agents are armed, full-time, salary-exempt members of the Executive Response Team, providing embedded executive protection services to a single high-profile corporate client in Redmond, WA. This position reports to the ERT Sr. Operations Manager, in direct partnership with the client’s Executive Protection Unit (EPU). ERT Agents are responsible for the safety and security of designated client executives and board members, executive spaces, and other areas that may be designated for temporary executive use, as well as other executive protection and security driving duties as assigned. ERT Agents are expected to respond swiftly, appropriately, and skillfully to known or perceived threats, including the use of reasonable and necessary lethal and non-lethal means in the protection of client designates. Requirements

  • Extensive military, corporate security, protective operations, or law enforcement experience, preferably in a military special operations branch.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and analytical ability
  • Exceptional integrity, character, and trustworthiness.
  • Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience and understanding of corporate culture
  • Strong base knowledge in all facets of protective operations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint etc.)
  • High level of physical fitness and personal appearance
  • Ability to legally possess a firearm
  • Ability to pass an extensive criminal background check on a recurring basis, and good credit standing.

  • Ability to obtain professional security credentials, including Washington Armed Guard License
  • Strong handgun proficiency, including ability to pass the Washington State Criminal Justice Training Commission (CJTC) armed guard qualification on an annual basis
  • Ability to work nights and weekends as required
  • Possess a valid driver’s license
  • Possess a valid passport
  • Possess a valid Washington concealed pistol license
  • Maintain reliable transportation
  • Ability to obtain a valid first aid/CPR/AED certificate

Nice To Haves

  • +2 years-experience in an executive security/protection related capacity in a corporate/private/government setting
  • Honorable military discharge or law enforcement experience
  • Graduate of a recognized public or private-sector executive protection academy
  • Advanced medical experience (EMT, First Responder, 18D, Paramedic, Navy Corpsman)
  • Leadership and management experience
  • Experience working with C-Suite level executives or equivalent
  • Advanced understanding of technology-based protective applications

Responsibilities

  • Provide staffing for roving and static security posts for HQ building and immediate areas.
  • Campus drives, parking garage, surface parking lots, loading dock, etc.
  • Executive spaces, to include offices, teamwork areas, boardrooms.
  • Any space designated for temporary executive use.
  • Respond, observe, report, and intervene, as appropriate, to address any situation which may compromise the safety and security of designated client executives, facilities, or assets.
  • Interventions may include: Security field interviews Verbal de-escalation Use of non-lethal or lethal force, in accordance with client and supplier Use of Force policies and applicable state/ federal/ local laws. Basic first aid
  • Respond to all real or potential executive related security issues
  • Communicate with the EPS Executive Security Operations Center (EPS Center) and the MSGS Virtual Security Operations Center (VSOC) as required
  • Consult and coordinate with local, state, and federal authorities, and with visiting VIP security teams as appropriate
  • Support security assisted investigations, hostile threats and security assisted terminations as requested
  • Act as an advance agent, support agent or security driver for security operations
  • Plan, coordinate and execute executive protection assignments as directed
  • Provide support plans and cost estimates, as required
  • Supplier shall be capable of securing the following types of environments: Existing permanent spaces Temporary spaces Field – travel events Personal residences

  • Manage projects and subprograms as needed
  • Contribute to the organizational goals of the Team
  • Maintain critical relationships inside and outside the organization to support Team security operations
  • Safeguard sensitive and confidential information regarding Inter-Con and the client
  • Support executive protection operations
  • Observe, report, and/or intervene as appropriate to situations which may compromise the safety and security of designated client personnel and assets.
  • Staff assigned security posts
  • Act as an advance agent, security driver, or support agent for executive security operations
  • Provide surveillance detection / protective surveillance for security operations
  • Participate in emergency response actions to facilitate the protection of the client’s people, assets, and reputation. This includes verbal de-escalation, use of non-lethal force, deadly force, and appropriate medical treatment in accordance with policy, training, and applicable law.
