About The Position

Position Summary: The programmer/analyst is responsible for maintaining and supporting the development of the enterprise resource planning systems, primarily oversees the document imaging system, OnBase. This is a system administrator role primarily responsible for the day-to-day support and development of new workflows to meet organizational needs. This includes all processes, systems and hardware used for intake, indexing and storage of documents, development of automated workflows and working with operational users.

Requirements

  • Associate Degree w/6+ years job experience & 3 years ERP experience required.
  • OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree w/4+ years job experience & 2 years ERP experience required.
  • IT area of study or related area required.
  • Related areas of study include Nursing, Medical Technology, Mathematics, Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Laboratory, Pharmacy, or Medicine.
  • Demonstrated ability to technically contribute as a team member to strategic and tactical projects.
  • Employee possesses knowledge and ability to accept independent responsibility to lead tactical projects of advanced complexity.
  • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven organizational skills and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proven effective interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with technical staff, management, customers, vendors, other employees, physicians, patients, and visitors.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills.
  • As such the candidate should be reliable and productive with minimal daily supervision.
  • Daily involvement with confidential information and data.
  • Must consistently exercise sound reasoning and independent judgment skills.
  • Ability to remain flexible with work hours periodically.

  • OnBase Administrator is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced-level programming and systems analysis support for a broad array of strategic/tactical projects as assigned.
  • Participates in all areas of project life cycle, including project definition, project estimating, systems design, computer programming, systems implementation, maintenance, upgrades, and documentation.
  • Particular emphasis is placed on the implementation of integrated laboratory/corporate computer systems.
  • Functionally provides technical guidance to staff.
  • Is free to interact within general guidelines in a broad scope of responsibility to recommend, design, develop, and implement information systems that meet departmental objectives within functional area of responsibility.
  • Is required to draw upon his/her practical experience and demonstrate development of extensive operational technical knowledge as well as advanced knowledge in developing business relationships and partnerships.
  • Demonstrates the ability to integrate advanced technical skills with knowledge of the business to provide effective information systems solutions.
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle all activities of developing an information system, from initial project review and scope definition to final systems implementation, with only minor supervision and direction.
  • Will respond to the software malfunctions of assigned systems and provide support and assistance to operations and users to correct and avoid future recurrence of production application problems.
  • Demonstrates an understanding of Active Directory (AD) for those applications that use AD for security.
  • Knows, understands and provides input to the Disaster Recovery plan for each application he/she supports.
  • Monitors Information Systems operating parameters for compliance guidelines.
  • Implements and maintains notification process/procedures for equipment failures and performance degrading situations.
  • Maintains service recovery procedures.
  • Coordinates technical and end-user support.
  • Troubleshoots and corrects problems, contacts vendor support and communicates with end-user and vendor when local resolution is not possible.
  • Develops and implements automated document scanning processes and systems, including OCR/ICR, recognition, verify, and export sub-processes.
  • Assure all document scanning systems meet business requirements as well as document retention policies.
  • Develop and support OnBase Workflows.
  • Responds to client support tickets via helpdesk tickets, helpdesk calls or direct calls.
  • Complete and document troubleshooting tasks.
  • Assist with peripheral device/software setup, installation and troubleshooting.
  • Document database using PC/inventory control software.
  • Act as main point of contact for testing with integrated systems.
  • Be available for after hours support of emergent urgent issues as defined by the after hours on call procedure.
  • Contribute to the overall effectiveness of CompuNet by assisting with other duties as assigned.
  • Comply with all company, department, and regulatory policies and procedures.
