About The Position

The Ergonomics/Safety Intern position at PACCAR involves conducting ergonomic assessments, assisting in implementing changes based on these assessments, and supporting safety initiatives within the facility. This role is designed for current college or university students who are interested in gaining practical experience in ergonomics and safety management in a leading global company.

Requirements

• Current college or university student at an accredited institution.
• Good oral and written communication skills, including the ability to formulate and communicate abstract concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated proficiency in the use of personal computers and contemporary office productivity software.
• Must meet physical requirements of the position with or without accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Conduct ergonomic assessments throughout the facility.
• Help implement changes based on assessments.
• Assist with accident/incident investigations.
• Support and contribute to the Job Hazard Analysis program.
• Help develop a strong ergonomic program for current and future use.
• Evaluate safety housekeeping audit findings and recommend changes.
• Assist with safety improvement workshops.
