About The Position

The Research Analyst is a member of Investment Research’s Select Equity team, which manages four domestic equity strategies including Large Cap Core, Large Cap Growth, Small/Mid Cap, and Equity Income. The team manages over $2 billion in assets under management. The Research Analyst’s primary role is to support the Select Equity team’s Portfolio Manager and Senior Research Analyst in stock selection. Upon successful demonstration of supporting senior team members, the analyst will own coverage of existing stocks and sectors, keeping up-to-date on market moving developments. Further growth areas include recommending buy and sell recommendations to the Portfolio Manager.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
• High competence in Microsoft Excel, as well as competence with Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. Must have experience with pivot tables and v-lookups.
• Strong computer and interpersonal skills are a must.
• Clear communication skills.
• Must work well in a small, entrepreneurial, and collegial environment and with minimal supervision.
• Analytical aptitude, attention to detail and genuine interest in the efficient collection and organization of data will help ensure success.
• Interest in investments and willing to deep dive into various sectors and industries.

Responsibilities

• Collecting, organizing, and presenting data related to existing and potential investments.
• Updating performance reports including fundamental and technical analysis of existing portfolio names and prospects.
• Preparing PowerPoint presentations for advisor and client education, including thematic performance attribution.
• Monitoring market movements and developments of covered stocks and sectors.
• Communicating to the Portfolio Manager key takeaways from meetings with company management teams and subject matter experts.
