About The Position

CFRA's global fundamental equity research team produces independent, actionable research trusted by institutional investors, wealth advisors, and regulators worldwide. We're growing that team and looking for an Equity Research Analyst who brings intellectual curiosity, strong analytical skills, and a passion for financial markets. Our team is organized by sector and collaborates closely with CFRA's forensic accounting, policy/legal, and technical research groups to deliver comprehensive, differentiated insights. Analysts have access to a suite of proprietary tools, including fundamental dashboards, standardized DCF models, forensic accounting diagnostic reports, and technical signals. In this role, you will conduct and publish fundamental equity research for a global client base spanning institutional investors, wealth advisors, insurance companies, regulators, and professional service firms. Your work will cover qualitative and quantitative analysis across valuation, financial performance, competitive positioning, quality of earnings, and free cash flow, resulting in stock rating recommendations, sector and industry outlooks, and in-depth thematic research.

Requirements

  • 2+ years in equity research or a comparable financial role.
  • Bachelor’s Degree required; CFA candidacy or MBA is a significant plus.
  • Strong equity valuation analysis and financial modeling skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal skills for publishing research and presenting findings.
  • High intellectual curiosity, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the equity research team to produce and publish analysis on companies and industries
  • Provide Buy/Sell/Hold recommendations on a defined coverage universe
  • Publish stock reports, research notes, and in-depth actionable thematic and industry research
  • Build and maintain DCF models and comparable company analyses to determine whether a company's stock is overvalued or undervalued
  • Present findings through internal and external webinars and live events

  • The base salary range for this position is $95,000 - $105,000. Compensation is determined by factors including experience, skills, and business needs. This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus and a comprehensive benefits package.
