About The Position

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented, and safety-conscious Warehouse/EquipmentCoordinator to oversee our warehouse operations and manage the lifecycle of all companyequipment, with a specific focus on electrical testing equipment, tools, and job trailers. Theideal candidate will ensure that all equipment is in excellent working condition, properlycalibrated, meets safety and regulatory standards, and is readily available for project needs.This position will be supporting our Breaker Shop and Field Service operations.

Requirements

  • Experience: 3+ years of experience in equipment, warehouse, or fleet management,preferably within the electrical, construction, or related industry.
  • Technical Knowledge: Strong technical aptitude with knowledge of electrical/electronicsystems, maintenance practices, and repair techniques is highly preferred.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solvingskills with strong attention to detail.
  • Software Proficiency: Proficient in using inventory management software, maintenancemanagement systems (MMS), and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel).
  • Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability tocollaborate effectively across different departments and manage vendor relationships.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to lift heavy objects and operate warehouse equipmentsuch as forklifts (certification preferred).
  • License: A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., Engineering, BusinessManagement, Logistics) or relevant technical certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain Electrical Testing Equipment: Implement and manage a comprehensivepreventive maintenance program for all electrical testing equipment. Support field andshop technicians by ensuring all equipment is functional and available when needed.Responsible for ordering, shipping and receiving all Rental equipment needed to supportField Service operations when Shermco owned equipment is not available.
  • Calibration Management: Oversee and coordinate the calibration schedule for all testequipment across technicians and shop equipment. Ensuring all instruments are withintheir calibration cycles and records are accurately maintained.
  • Job Trailer Management: Manage the organization, stocking, maintenance, andpreparation of all job trailers, ensuring they are fully equipped and "job-ready" fordispatch to various project sites.
  • Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose equipment malfunctions and coordinate orperform necessary repairs, minimizing downtime.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed records of all equipment maintenance,repairs, calibration certificates, and inventory movements using an inventorymanagement system (IMS) or software.
  • Inventory Control: Oversee receiving, storage, organization, and distribution ofelectrical supplies, tools, and equipment within the warehouse.
  • Logistics & Shipping/Receiving: Coordinate with project managers and field teams toensure timely equipment allocation, shipment, and return, managing the check-in/checkoutprocess efficiently.
  • Space Optimization: Develop and implement procedures for efficient space utilizationand a highly organized warehouse layout.
  • Purchasing: Monitor inventory levels, identify needs, and manage the procurementprocess for new equipment, parts, and supplies within the allocated budget.
  • Safety Protocols: Establish and enforce rigorous safety protocols and procedures forequipment handling, storage, and maintenance, ensuring a safe and healthy workenvironment.
  • Training: Provide or coordinate training to warehouse and field personnel on the properuse, handling, and safety procedures for equipment.
