About The Position

The Boeing Company is seeking Equipment and Tool Engineers for Associate and Mid-Level positions in Berkeley, MO. This role involves supporting the evaluation of program and project requirements, developing moderately complex equipment and tooling concepts and design solutions for the Production System. Key responsibilities include compiling and analyzing technical data to assess effects on product engineering design and rate estimates for tooling, ensuring compliance with safety, producibility, maintainability, reliability, ergonomic factors, and regulatory requirements. The engineer will also validate contractual performance milestones, maintain configuration control, conduct reviews, prepare plans for production readiness, preventative maintenance, and spares, and conduct training for Production and Maintenance personnel. Additionally, the role requires developing and implementing moderately complex work-arounds, maintaining configuration of hardware, software, and documentation, and supporting studies for the disposition of assets.

Requirements

  • Associate (Level 2): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (includes Manufacturing Engineering technology), Computer Science, Engineering Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience, or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • Mid-Level (Level 3): Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in Engineering, Engineering Technology (includes Manufacturing Engineering technology), Computer Science, Engineering Data Science, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications.
  • Minimum 2 or more years’ of experience in a manufacturing environment and/or tool engineering discipline.
  • Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 or more years’ of experience working in a Tool Engineering role and/or manufacturing environment.
  • 2 or more years’ of CATIA/NX/CREO/SolidWorks or equivalent solid modeling experience.
  • Experience using basic Microsoft Office and office computing systems.
  • Ability to learn in a fast paced environment.
  • Ability to collaborate with both the engineering work force and the mechanics on the factory floor.
