About The Position

Germfree prides themselves on engineering and developing innovative solutions that make an impact out in the real world. You will pre-clean, deburr, and polish equipment prior to assembly.

Requirements

  • Professional manner
  • Ability to operate basic hand and power tools as well as a hand jack
  • Physical abilities: hearing; seeing; lifting, pushing and pulling between 50-75 pounds; crouching; bending; twisting; kneeling; squatting; crawling; walking; standing for long periods; reaching in all directions; balancing; holding, grasping and manipulating very small objects; hand/eye coordination; use safety ladder; climbing; tolerate varying ranges of temperature in a Shop environment.
  • Good oral communication skills
  • Basic reading and comprehension skills; ability to write legibly
  • Ability to understand and follow instructions
  • Detailed and quality results-oriented
  • Ability to learn to use and read measuring instruments accurately (velocity meter, photometer, tape measure)
  • Awareness of general safety principles in a Shop environment
  • Reliable transportation to work
  • Ability to complete tasks working with others and independently
  • Work overtime as required
  • High School/GED
  • Working knowledge of construction, assembly procedures, and understanding engineering drawings.
  • Knowledge of basic math and 10-key calculator use to add, subtract, divide, multiply and figure percentages.
  • 0-2 years’ relevant experience, depending on the level of job functions.
  • Medium- Ability to work independently or with others to complete tasks on schedule.

  • Active Driver’s License helpful

Responsibilities

  • Pre-clean equipment received from suppliers
  • Remove burrs from metal working to ensure no sharp edges
  • Clean and remove coloration from weld spots
  • Preparation and installation of gaskets
  • Perform final cleaning of finished product in preparation for shipping
  • Crosstrain with other areas as requested
  • Assist in other areas of production as requested
  • Other reasonably-related duties
