About The Position

Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced Equipment Operators for projects located in the Silver Springs, NV area. This is a first shift opportunity, and the pay rate is $32-35/hour based on experience and skill level. Job Scope: Use equipment such as mini-excavators, trenchers, plows, and reel trailers Perform duties of installation, operation, repair, and maintenance of Telecommunications outside plant including fiber, copper and coax Review blueprints or other plans to determine where and how to place plants Analyze job locations for utility lines, permitting, and traffic control to complete construction activities without quality defects, safety incidents or any type of property damage Read and understand utility locations and above ground indicators to ensure the safety of the crew and a high level of productivity Complete daily inspections and reporting of maintenance issues on vehicles, trailers, and equipment Perform service, safety checks, check oil and fluids, and minor repairs on equipment Perform construction work such as digging holes, setting handholes/peds and placing duct to pole Strive for optimal production while working safely and performing quality work Ensures all work is performed to quality standard while always complying with proper safety standards/procedures and work practices/policies & procedures according to EPC and OSHA/ANSI standards Maintain quality and cleanliness of tools, equipment, and vehicles

Requirements

5+ years of heavy equipment experience
Valid Class A CDL required
Prior experience operating relevant heavy equipment in a utilities construction environment around live utilities is required
OSHA 30 Certification is required
Green Belt Certification is required
Heavy Equipment Operator Certification is requiredKnowledge of reading prints
Ability to operate equipment, including, but not limited to power tools, electronic testing equipment, air compressor and heavy equipment such as bucket truck etc
Prior experience identifying above or below ground utilities or hazards.
Must pass a drug screen and background check

Responsibilities
