Your Opportunity: Taylor Visual Impressions is looking for an Equipment Operator to help support our Press Operators in Duluth, GA by assisting with press setup, job preparation, and post-production cleanup. This role is responsible for ensuring job tickets are accurately scanned, production data is entered correctly into operating systems, and jobs are properly prepared (“ripped”) for the press. The Equipment Operator plays a critical role in maintaining production accuracy, efficiency, and quality. Requirements

  • Experience in a manufacturing, production, or print environment preferred
  • Basic computer skills and ability to navigate production software and scanning systems
  • Ability to read and understand job tickets, work orders, and production specifications
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift, push, or pull materials up to [insert weight] pounds
  • Repetitive motion and frequent bending, reaching, and handling of materials

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with PJM or similar production tracking systems
  • Basic understanding of digital file preparation and ripping processes
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Dependable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious

Responsibilities

  • Assist Press Operators with setup and changeover of press jobs to ensure efficient production flow
  • Perform cleanup of excess material, scrap, and debris following press runs in accordance with safety and housekeeping standards
  • Scan job tickets to the press and verify correct job information prior to production
  • Ensure SO75s are accurate, complete, and aligned with production requirements
  • Scan jobs into PJM and confirm proper job tracking throughout the production process
  • Rip jobs to the machine, ensuring correct files, settings, and specifications are applied
  • Review job documentation for accuracy, completeness, and readiness prior to press operation
  • Communicate any discrepancies, material issues, or system errors to the Press Operator or Supervisor
  • Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by maintaining organized work areas and suggesting process enhancements
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations
