About The Position

The Remote Yard Material Handler is responsible for making sure all flow traffic, inbound and outbound, have constant smooth flow and that all paperwork is maintained and issued properly for the assigned remote material yard. Remote Yard Material Handler handles the remote material yard operations. Key responsibilities will be to learn the product that is being handled, demonstrate a strong understanding of inventory organization, display strong ambition to support the operations team and to have the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment loading and unloading trucks.

Requirements

Highschool graduate, or GED equivalent preferred.
Minimum 1- year of experience proficiently operating a wheel loader.
Must possess a valid drivers’ license and have a clean driving record.
Strong organizational skills to sort and organize inventory
Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes quickly in a fast-paced environment working as a team, and independently.
Bilingual and /or ability to communicate effectively in English – both verbally and in writing.

Nice To Haves

Having experience handling wooden mats or other matting products and having a general knowledge on matting products is preferred.

Responsibilities

The Remote Material Handler operates large wheel loaders to load and unload trucks.
Other equipment includes operating a skid steer and being comfortable operating skid steers and wheel loaders
Must be comfortable operating equipment with precise handling moving large heavy material with wheel loaders.
Must be comfortable working outside in the elements and in a fast paced truck loading/unloading environment.
Having experience handling wooden mats or other matting products and having a general knowledge on matting products is preferred.
Help drive and maintain the organization of the yard by maximizing space utilization and inventorying products in the proper locations.
Must be able to work as a team to achieve the goals that are assigned by the operations team.
Participate in cycle counting and physical inventories at the yard on a routine basis.
Manage bills of lading for inbound and outbound trucks to ensure that the contents are correct for transactional accuracy.
Participate in clean up initiatives in the yard. Clean up includes activities such as picking up misc. debris from the yard to moving junk mats to the cull pile.
Collect and submit all paperwork from drivers, (returns, receiving, signed BOL’s)
Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by maintaining and aligning company policies that adhere to local, state and federal environmental, health and safety regulations.
