About The Position

Taylor Corporation is looking for an Equipment Operator I to join our production team. This is a hands-on role operating printing press equipment and supporting the full production process, including reworking finished rolls off the press, boxing, labeling, and palletizing finished goods to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.

Requirements

  • Ability to set adjustable mechanisms to required tolerances
  • Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
  • High level of mechanical aptitude
  • Good reading and comprehension skills
  • Reliable attendance and dependability are essential for this role
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information so others clearly understand
  • Regularly required to remain in a stationary position
  • Constant operation of machinery and handling of print materials
  • Frequent movement throughout the facility
  • Regularly lift, push, pull, and/or carry 25+ pounds

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and operate printing press equipment in compliance with job specifications, quality standards, and procedures
  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal output
  • Prepare inks for proper color and consistency
  • Check paper for correct type, size, color, and quantity
  • Check plates for correct format
  • Visually inspect product throughout the run to ensure quality standards are met
  • Coordinate with the Production Team to prioritize jobs and adjust workflow to meet changing deadlines
  • Rework finished rolls off the press, including boxing, labeling, and palletizing finished goods
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with all safety requirements related to the job and equipment
