About The Position
Position Overview: To safely and efficiently operate equipment used in the loading, unloading, stacking, and movement of shipping containers within the trucking yard. Must have Driver License and Pass MVR check
Requirements
- Ability to operate equipment on the yard
- Knowledge of depot industry and interchange procedures
- Ability to operate yard equipment
- Heavy forklift experience
- Valid Driver's License
Nice To Haves
- Ability to detect damages on equipment
- Ability to operate equipment
Responsibilities
- Load and unload containers from chassis, trucks, and stack areas.
- Chassis Stacking
- Yard Locator
- Move containers to assigned storage or staging areas as directed by yard dispatch or supervisors
- Position and align containers in stacks according to yard layout and safety protocols.
- Operate yard equipment such as forklifts, yard trucks, top lift on a daily basis
- Other duties as assigned
- Ability to help at the gate when needed
