About The Position

The Equipment Operator, Wet Utilities is responsible for excavating trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer systems, and installing trench boxes as needed. This role requires operating equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures, ensuring proper excavation and compaction. The operator is also responsible for maintaining equipment through daily inspections and greasing, demonstrating a working knowledge of underground utilities, managing quality control and production, and training team members in a hands-on manner. The position requires physical fitness to perform manual labor in various environments and conditions.

Responsibilities

Excavates trenches for water, sanitary sewer, and storm sewer
Installs trench boxes as necessary
Operates equipment in compliance with Muller's safety policies and OSHA procedures
Ensure proper excavation & compaction procedures are performed
Ensures all equipment is maintained by performing daily equipment inspections & grease equipment at required intervals
Demonstrate a working knowledge of underground utilities
Performs other related duties and responsibilities as required to complete the job
Manage quality control and production
Train team members as needed in a hands-on manner
