About The Position

Torgeson Electric Company is seeking Operators and Laborers for site electrical installation, including Site Lighting, Duct Banks, Primary/Secondary conduits, Street Lighting, Sports Lighting, and Concrete Work. Equipment operators/site underground individuals are able to work on site projects installing conduit in trenches and underground. Some traveling is required to job sites in northeast Kansas.

Requirements

Ability to pass a pre-employment (fit to work physical) and drug testing.
Ability to effectively Communicate.
Follow safety policies and procedures at all times.
PPE required for all duties.
OSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion).

Nice To Haves

Experience desired but not required.
Class A, CDL drivers license preferred but not required (reimbursement available upon completion).
Operator card preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Operate a mini excavator, skid steer, and Digger Derek.
Ensure and manage the machines or equipment in a safe and secure way.
Ensure locates are done and up to date prior to performing work.
Perform periodical safety, maintenance, or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment.
Perform minor repair works during functioning problems.
Inform and advise the management or repairmen for major repairs or maintenance.
Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc.
Maintain proper coordination and cooperation with the road and transport system while driving/working, so that the normal activities are not disrupted.
Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site, or traffic laws.
Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed.
Report to the Site Superintendent.
