About The Position

Torgeson Electric Company is seeking Operators and Laborers for site electrical installation, including Site Lighting, Duct Banks, Primary/Secondary conduits, Street Lighting, Sports Lighting, and Concrete Work. Equipment operators/site underground individuals are able to work on site projects installing conduit in trenches and underground. Some traveling is required to job sites in northeast Kansas. The company offers pay based on experience, a $1500 signing bonus, and a comprehensive benefit package. Benefits include paid time off, paid holidays, 401K option with employer match, ESOP, and Health/Dental insurance. Applicants must be able to pass a pre-employment physical and drug testing. The position requires adherence to safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE, and the ability to effectively communicate.

Requirements

Ability to pass a pre-employment, (fit to work physical) and drug testing
Ability to effectively Communicate
Follow safety policies and procedures at all times
PPE required for all duties
Must be comfortable with operating a mini excavator, skid steer and Digger Derek
OSHA 10 required (reimbursement available upon completion)

Nice To Haves

Class A, CDL drivers license preferred but not required (reimbursement available upon completion)
Operator card preferred but not required

Responsibilities

Work on site projects installing conduit in trenches and underground
Ensure and manage the machines or equipment in a safe and secure way
Ensure locates are done and up to date prior to performing work
Perform periodical safety, maintenance or servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment
Perform minor repair works during functioning problems
Inform and advise the management or repairmen for major repairs or maintenance
Perform road work, excavation work, lifting work, etc.
Maintain proper coordination and cooperation with the road and transport system while driving/working, so that the normal activities are not disrupted
Work in adherence to safe practices, procedures, work site or traffic laws
Fill out daily pre-job safety plan for the work that will be performed
Report to the Site Superintendent
