About The Position

This position is responsible to support the production line operation, timely (disassembly and re-assembly of equipment, cleaning and sanitation of combos, totes tubs, machinery, floors, walls and maintenance of wastewater removal equipment. Additional job responsibilities include completion of these tasks while following standard operating procedures, including but not limited to, filling out log sheets and other sanitation related paperwork. Requirements

  • Basic mathematical skills required; addition, and subtraction.
  • 6 -12 months of continuous work history
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Nice To Haves

  • Previous manufacturing experience in the meat industry is preferred
  • Previous Sanitation experience highly desirable

Responsibilities

  • Follow all Personnel Safety and Food Safety policies/procedures, GMP’s and plant rules.
  • Ensure the safe operation of plant equipment and machinery, the safe use of tools and the safety of others working in the immediate area.
  • Know the production schedule for the product(s) being run and check to ensure the proper totes and/or tubs are cleaned and available.
  • Know the proper sanitation procedures and the order of cleaning chemical usage.
  • Inspect totes and tubs for overall appearance and remove/isolate totes with visible damage.
  • Ensure the in-place sanitation system is maintained with the proper cleaning chemicals.
  • Communicate with production supervisors to ensure that all parties are aware of any sanitation issues.
  • At end of shift, secure all equipment, perform general housekeeping duties and turn in all required paperwork.
  • Ability to work overtime as department and plant operations demand.
  • Flexible hours as needed.
  • All other duties as assigned.
  • Must be capable of disassembling and re-assembling equipment
  • Must work in wet environment and use cleaning chemicals and solutions to facilitate cleaning and sanitizing process
  • Must work with minimum supervision
  • Must be able to read and comprehend written procedures, MSDS, and chemical mixing and use instructions to perform assigned task
