About The Position

Skilled manual work in the operation of specialized and heavy equipment and other public works vehicles and in performing construction, internment, and maintenance activities; all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma and three years experience in public works construction and maintenance activities including the operation of heavy and specialized equipment; or any equivalent combination of education and experience
• CDL Class A unrestricted drivers license required
• Massachusetts Class 2A, 1C and 4G Hoisting Licenses
• Working knowledge of preventative maintenance techniques
• Responsible for observing required safety precautions
• Knowledge of cemetery layout and lot locations
• Ability to perform heavy manual labor under varying weather conditions
• Ability to locate plots on cemetery maps using electric locating devices, probes and measuring devices
• Demonstrated skill in operating and maintaining all types of special and heavy equipment and trucks
