About The Position

PLEASE ATTACH A RESUME TO YOUR APPLICATION. It is the responsibility of the Equipment Operator I to operate various saw equipment and/or ultrasonic welding to prepare material to proper sizes and quantities in accordance with work orders, bills of material, manufacturing specifications and Engineering drawings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral diagram or schedule form.
  • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions finished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
  • Maintains confidentiality when working with company proprietary information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in fluid power industry and/or manufacturing environment is preferred.
  • Prior saw or machine operation experience is preferred.
  • ERP experience is preferred; SAP experience is a plus.
  • Computer experience including Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is a plus.
  • Capability to obtain forklift certification to drive a forklift, including RAYMOND upright trucks and Wave machines.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret production work instructions, production orders, Bill of Material/Operations, and quality plans.
  • Set up and operate the ultrasonic welder and saws in accordance with work instructions/work orders.
  • Verify seam type requirements based on work orders and cuts using handheld rotary shears if necessary.
  • Use and maintain automatic band saws for optimum performance.
  • Work in a timely manner to meet production schedules.
  • Pick material from storage rack or shuttle locations.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures, and instructions including safety rules and uses all appropriate safety equipment.
  • Accept cross training and job re-assignments as directed.
  • Use fixed and variable measurable equipment.
  • Maintain workplace cleanliness and organization through 5S including following housekeeping rules and directions
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Work overtime as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
