About The Position
There is something to be said for working in the Kansas outdoors. The weather conditions aren't always great, but the Barton County scenery is unbeatable. Come help us maintain our rural highways at Barton County Road and Bridge. We're looking for an Equipment Operator I to run construction and maintenance equipment. Our Director is driven to hire the right person with road construction or other related experience preferred as well as a valid Class A Kansas Driver's License. Let us know if this is a position you want to take for a test drive! All County positions require a minimum of a High School diploma or GED with the ability to pass a drug screen and pre-employment physical assessment. Must obtain a CDL within six months of hire. Starting pay is $18.00 per hour without CDL; $19.00 per hour upon receiving or with CDL. Barton County offers paid leave time; health, dental and vision insurance; KPERS retirement and more.
