About The Position
The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Equipment Operator I in the Street Department. The incumbent operates equipment such as trucks, tractors and mowers and uses a variety of power and hand tools in maintaining City streets, culverts, right-of-way, storm sewers and other public property. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must possess and maintain a valid Oklahoma driver's license and be insurable.
- Must have OK Commercial Class "B" w/Air Brakes.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Mental alertness and adaptability to office and field area work routines.
- Previous experience with street and mowing equipment, including tractor, mower, and backhoe is desired.
