About The Position

Taylor Corporation is seeking an Equipment Operator who is responsible for operating and maintaining equipment machinery while ensuring efficiency and adherence to safety standards. You will play a crucial role in training team members, managing daily operations, and contributing to production goals. Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor complex packaging machinery, ensuring optimal performance and adherence to production schedules
  • Conduct thorough inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment to identify potential issues before they impact production
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions promptly to minimize downtime
  • Train and mentor new and existing employees on machinery operation, safety protocols, best practices, and quality expectations
  • Delegate tasks effectively to enhance team productivity and maintain a smooth workflow
  • Serve as a positive role model, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability
  • Provide regular updates to the Production Supervisor on equipment status, production metrics, and any issues encounters
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records related to equipment performance, production output, and maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, DOT, HAZMAT, and environmental regulations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, adhering to all departmental policies and procedures
  • Utilize Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) consistently and correctly
  • Maintain accurate data entry for time keeping, job costing, and MRP job tracking
  • Ability to setup of equipment for new products and complex projects
  • Materials management – request materials required to maintain productivity
