About The Position

Team Elmer's seeks to fill a part-time opening for a skilled Loader Operator for the Concrete Plant in Traverse City, Michigan. This position will operate a loader at the concrete plant assisting with the daily operations. Duties and Responsibilities: Fill concrete bins with sand and/or aggregates with the loader Load trucks and move materials around the yard Assist with other yard duties and/or maintenance that may come up through the course of the day, as needed Normal hours are 8-12 per day Part-time position All duties are at the plant, no driving or travel involved Know and follow all company safety policies as well as OSHA, MIOSHA, and MSHA regulations Practice safety at all times including driving of company vehicles or use of equipment. Use PPE while on jobsite e.g. hard hat safety glasses, ear protection, high visibility vest, steel toe boots, pants, and gloves Take initiative and anticipate what needs to be done Other duties as assigned "The above list of job duties is not exclusive or exhaustive and the post holder will be required to undertake such tasks as may reasonably be expected within the scope of the position." Requirements

• Valid license, CDL preferred or the ability to obtain within one year
• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Clean driving record for past 5 years
• Ability to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen
• Previous experience as a loader operator required with the ability to demonstrate skill in operating
• 2-3 years of experience operating a large wheel loader, preferably in a sand and gravel environment
• Ability to work required hours performing repetitive movements
• Ability to work in all environmental conditions
• Good work ethic, punctuality and alertness
• Mechanical -- Knowledge of equipment, machines and tools including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
• Ability to follow all company, DOT, OSHA, and MiOSHA safety rules
