About The Position

Responsible for the troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of equipment used within the pipe fabrication shop.

Requirements

• 3-5 Years’ experience.
• Applicable trade schools or technician classification with knowledge of forklifts, engines and cranes.
• Must possess a good understanding of pneumatic and hydraulic systems, welding and fabrication, and electronically controlled engines.
• Candidate must be self-motivated, safety oriented, and have the ability to work with limited supervision in the shop and in the field.

Responsibilities

• Repairs and maintains diesel engines used to power machines, such as construction machinery, generators, forklifts, off road vehicles and cranes, using hand tools, precision measuring instruments, computer diagnostics, and machine tools.
• Diagnoses trouble, troubleshoot engines, and examines parts for defects and excessive wear.
• Reconditions and replaces parts, using hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• May weld and cut parts, using arc welding and flame cutting equipment.
• Responsible for observing and complying with all company safety regulations and industry standards. Performs other duties as required.
