The primary objective of equipment m aintenance is the repair and up- keep of product ion equipment; making sure to keep it in a safe , effective operating condition so that production and quality targets can be met on time and at cost. Assist equipment technicians or service personnel with technical support. This will be accomplished by phone/email or directly at job site. Develop quick and accurate communication with field personnel and dispatch. Assure quality of repairs to minimize recall/duplicate work. Assure compliance with all governmental and company safety polices. Comply with Human Resources p olicies . Review shop tool requirements to do work more efficiently. Observe and report any deficiencies to forward our PM program for effectiveness and possible additions to our program. Participate in technical training with dealer / manufacturer and as much as possible and pass on that training to other mechanics. Work closely with our Field Services Dispatcher and our parts personnel to assure on time delivery of parts. Work daily with Internal Department, Field Managers and Superintendents as well as Field Mechanics. This position will be hourly and require overtime as needed. Must have sufficient tools to do the job. The company does not provide industry Standard Tools. Service Truck must be kept clean and orderly. Responsible for staying within HOS (hours of service), if applicable Responsible for complying with all Trimble/Telogis regulations. Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned.
