T1 Energy is bringing solar manufacturing back to the U.S. by building a domestic solar supply chain. Our mission is to invigorate America with scalable, reliable, and low-cost energy. Our fully operational 5GW solar module facility in Wilmer, Texas, can manufacture more than 20,000 modules every 24 hours. By the time you finish reading this paragraph, we will have produced two solar panels that will power American homes and fuel domestic AI. Position Overview: The Equipment Manager is responsible for leading equipment reliability and maintenance operations within a high-volume, 24/7 manufacturing environment supporting more than 300 pieces of production equipment and more than 100 employees. This role ensures maximum uptime, operational stability, and long-term asset performance while aligning with plant safety, quality, delivery, and cost objectives. This position requires a strong leader capable of building and developing high-performing teams across multiple shifts. The Equipment Manager will drive reliability strategy, structured maintenance systems, CMMS optimization, workforce planning, safety compliance (including LOTO governance), budget control, and continuous improvement initiatives to sustain operational excellence. The ideal candidate combines strategic leadership with disciplined execution, fostering a culture of accountability, ownership, safety, and continuous improvement. This role partners closely with EHS, Production, Process Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to ensure equipment capability supports plant capacity and long-term growth.

Requirements

  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or equipment engineering within a high-volume manufacturing environment
  • 3–5+ years in a leadership or management role
  • Experience leading maintenance teams in 24/7 operations
  • Strong experience implementing and managing CMMS platforms
  • Demonstrated ownership of LOTO programs and safety compliance
  • Proven track record improving uptime, reliability, and maintenance performance
  • Experience managing large equipment portfolios (200+ assets preferred)
  • Experience managing budgets and performance metrics
