About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Equipment Maintenance Technician to perform electrical and mechanical repairs of our injection molding, printing, and automation industrial machines and equipment at our plant in Tolleson, AZ, to ensure that our production equipment performs as required. This Equipment Maintenance Technician prides themselves in their safety mindset, attention to detail, troubleshooting capabilities and perfect attendance as they provide technical support to other technical roles as part of this amazing team. Requirements

  • Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Must be mechanically and electrically inclined.
  • Must be safety and quality conscience at all times.
  • Ability to work under limited supervision
  • Additional training may be required to retain position
  • Must be familiar with the operation of PLCs, Drives, and robots.
  • Must have basic equipment maintenance tools
  • Must be responsible, self- motivated and team oriented.
  • Must be able to make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a willingness to take a "hands on" approach during times of process interruption.
  • Associate’s degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; and minimum three-year related experience and/or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers and decimals.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Ability to deal with problems involving several variables.

Nice To Haves

  • 3-5 years industrial equipment maintenance experience preferred
  • Prior experience working on Husky injection molding machines preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Installs, alters, maintains, troubleshoots and repairs electrical and mechanical molding equipment, Dry Off-set printing equipment, pneumatic, hydraulic and PLC systems.
  • Installs and trouble shoots mechanical or electrical support equipment (conveyors, box sealing machines, grinding equipment, stackers, etc.)
  • Preventative maintenance in molding of Husky and BNB injection Molding equipment
  • Preventative maintenance for support equipment.
  • Maintain PM files - database
  • Maintain work-order files – database.
  • Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP’s) and (HACCP) Practices.
  • Any other duties as assigned by supervisor or department manager
  • Must Know the Quality Policy, Food Safety Policy and apply it to working practices.
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes
  • Follow all Lock-Out Tag-out procedures
  • Must be able to work in a team environment and help others as needed.
