About The Position

Qorvo is looking for a Manufacturing Equipment Maintenance Technician. We are seeking a candidate who is intelligent and flexible – someone who can change priorities at a moment’s notice and someone who is enthusiastic about learning and growing as a technician in the semiconductor industry. This is a non-exempt position working on a compressed work week shift – day shift (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and every other Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.). This is a factory position and requires wearing cleanroom attire and working in a cleanroom environment. You may be required to wear PPE and be exposed to hazardous processing materials.

Requirements

  • Educational Requirements: Associate degree in a technical discipline or equivalent military experience required. Rare exceptions for long term industry technicians
  • A minimum of 2 years of hands-on technical maintenance experience in high volume semiconductor environment to include photolithography experience
  • Experience to include replacement photo MT with specific TEL and C&D
  • The ideal candidate will have direct experience on wafer fabrication equipment in a cleanroom environment
  • Candidate must adhere to all company safety protocols
  • Demonstrated proficiency in collaboration with others to make improvements through experimentation and drive toward standardized methods
  • Strong mechanical, electronic, and troubleshooting skills required
  • Candidate must have solid workplace soft skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Must be fluent in English
  • Candidate must be comfortable navigating and operating computers and have a basic familiarity of MS Office programs
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapidly changing priorities and responsibilities
  • Hands-on participation and strong sense of ownership
  • Ability to work under minimum supervision in a fast paced, high volume production environment
  • Must be physically capable of standing/walking up to 12 hours per shift and lift up to 35 pounds
  • Must be physically capable of supporting equipment maintenance that requires occasionally bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, squatting, etc.
  • Must be able to wear a respirator and other personal protective equipment (PPE) for possible work handling hazardous materials
  • Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for performing scheduled and un-scheduled maintenance on wafer fabrication equipment
  • Work closely with the factory management team to prioritize job tasks
  • Work closely with peers, supervisor, and engineering team to deeply understand root cause of failure and use those learnings to continuously improve equipment availability to meet production goals
  • Work with vendors, field service and technical representatives, and may be required to attend classes, seminars, vendor training if required
  • Attend shift pass-down meetings and communicate daily activities
  • Document all work performed on equipment
