About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the operation of the test equipment used at the reliability labs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Formal training in electronics, or Five years experience working in electronics testing
  • Knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical principles.
  • Knowledge of analog and digital electronics.
  • Knowledge of electrical wiring.
  • Knowledge of electrical control and relay systems.
  • Knowledge of the theory and characteristics of solid state devices and electronic circuits.
  • Knowledge of current developments in testing equipment.
  • Skill in the use of the hand tools, power tools, and machine shop tools required in servicing electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Ability to disassemble and repair electrical and electronic equipment.
  • Ability to install equipment.
  • Ability to utilize standard equipment repair manuals and schematic diagrams.
  • MS Office Suite
  • Some database software
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Able to communicate effectively
  • Detailed oriented.
  • Self motivated
  • Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Ability to coordinate multiple activities simultaneously in an efficient manner
  • Task completion oriented
  • Comfortable working with machining equipment such as drill press, mills, and other metal fabricating equipment
  • Examining parts through microscope for extended period of time
  • Some lifting of up to 30lbs
  • Must be able to lift or move 5-10 lbs. frequently.

Responsibilities

  • Operate, maintain, reliability test equipment
  • Trouble shoot and resolve equipment malfunction and participate in the repair work when needed
  • Follow up on the repair work if need to be performed by specialized contractors
  • Perform the preventive maintenance program as scheduled on the equipment
  • Hold and update the records of PM and calibration of the equipment
  • Place the orders for spare parts that is needed for the equipment
  • Maintain, repair and inspect the equipment monitoring system
  • To be able to modify existing equipment to fit needs of lab tests.
  • Prepare technical reports related to the work
  • Participate in the design and manufacturing of mechanical fixtures
  • Ability to read schematics, specifications, and construction drawings.
  • Ability to install equipment.
  • Ability to prepare specifications for equipment.
