About The Position

As an Equipment Maintenance Technician, you will spend your day diagnosing and repairing machines such as production assembly systems, press systems, hydraulic, electrical, CNC, and pneumatic equipment. You will identify and inspect machines in need of repair, plan repair work using blueprints or equipment manuals, and perform general maintenance that does not require specialized technicians. These tasks will include cleaning or changing filters, cleaning cooling coils, topping off fluids, completing preventative maintenance on equipment, repairing drywall, painting, fixing doors and other building fixtures, and changing lights, electrical outlets, and switches. You will also clean machinery and work areas after repairs, input minor maintenance data into computer programs, and assist the Lead Technician when needed. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 1+ year(s) of experience with CNC machining centers, mills, lathes, or EDMs
  • Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
  • Knowledge of control I/O cards, axis motors, spindles, encoders, and press hydraulics
  • Mechanical experience in machine tool alignment, installing linear guides, ball screws, saddles, and slides, and laser positioning adjustments
  • General knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and building repairs
  • Ability to use hand or power tools, forklifts, scissor lifts, and man lifts (on-the-job training provided if necessary)
  • Ability to climb ladders, bend, crawl into awkward spaces, and lift up to 50 pounds
  • Willingness to work with oils, solvents, minor dust, as well as wear all required PPE

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Heidenhain, Fanuc, or Haas controls is a plus.
