About The Position

As part of our expansion and technology roadmap needs, Photronics has multiple equipment engineering leadership positions available at our Boise, Idaho location in the U.S.  With cutting-edge technology serving customers globally, we offer the opportunity to work on some of the most complex photomask equipment in the industry. We are looking for highly motivated and experienced engineering team members who can drive excellence across our mask making equipment portfolio covering high volume mainstream IC nodes through cutting edge EUV IC lithography applications.  We seek candidates with direct, hands-on experience debugging and solving problems at machine level as part of our program to drive equipment uptime and continuous improvement initiatives.  The ability to collaborate with and guide supplier field service engineers to rapidly solve problems at root cause level and to implement proactive monitoring and tracking programs supporting the ongoing health of the equipment will be important for the candidate success.  Finally, an interest in and understanding of process quality output from the equipment and a history of collaborating with process and manufacturing disciplines to enable high performance production as part of a unified team are important characteristics.

  • Relentless...takes ownership for the tools, views equipment functionality as their legacy.  Ability to anticipate, repair and prevent tool/process down-time important to performance objectives
  • Innovative...clearly identifies current status, sees what is possible, seeks creative ways to achieve the possibilities.
  • Collaborative...able to connect multiple team member/functions to identify issues, achieve optimal functionality and quality, and drive process improvements.
  • Technology savvy...strong mechanical and/or electrical background to aid in product handling and fault investigations.  Troubleshooting background capable of diagnosing component circuits to the board level, and a broad understanding of software/code would be helpful.  May have written and validated program/recipes for normal tool/equipment operation to ensure the manufacturing equipment performs to and above manufacturing requirements.
  • Education...requires a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical equipment engineering or a related engineering discipline.
