Position Summary In this role as an Equipment Technician you'll be responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing and/or system operations, such as working with engineers and manufacturing in set-up and calibration tasks, system support, preventative maintenance, failure analysis, documenting/following standard operating procedures, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the process and production of memory chips and logic. Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct in-line adjustments to products, instruments, equipment, or processes. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process. Requires compliance with all health, safety and environmental management system guidelines.

Requirements

  • Any 2-year technical certification (TTI, ITT, Trade Cert, HVAC, etc); 3+ ASE certs or 4 years Semiconductor Technician experience (no cert, passes test) or 4 years equivalent technical Military service
  • 2+ years prior work experience
  • Familiarity with SPC methods and implementation
  • Advanced experience with MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Strong communication, teamwork, analytical and problem solving skills, ability to learn quickly
  • Experience working in a continuous improvement, fast-paced, changing environment
  • Familiarity with TPM concepts
  • Detailed and task oriented with a customer service, team work and flexibility mindset.
  • Ability to strictly adhere to SOPs.
  • Ability to work off-hours if necessary
  • Electro-mechanical aptitude, and basic understanding of hand tools, pneumatics, and electricity
  • All positions at Samsung Austin Semiconductor require you to be onsite.

Responsibilities

  • Preventative Maintenance (PM)/Change Point Management (CPM)/System Maintenance: Follows standard operating procedures to ensure equipment/ processes/systems are running effectively.
  • Troubleshooting: Conducts failure analysis and follows scripts to troubleshoot and anticipate future failures.
  • Monitor Equipment/Process: Monitors equipment and processes in current state and proactively looks for ways to improve processes.
  • Working as a team member and communicating on a regular basis.
