About The Position

The Equipment Coordinator - Fleet is committed to supporting Louisiana Bridge Builders by coordinating and controlling the project vehicle fleet, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational availability, cost control, and effective support to field operations.

  • Ability to maintain a valid and current driver’s license.
  • At a minimum, the Equipment Coordinator – Fleet must have a high school diploma, or equivalent, along with 5+ years of relevant equipment management experience and a current and valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain vehicle fleet documentation in compliance with Louisiana State regulations and applicable federal requirements, including registration, plates, titles, insurance, permits, and DOT/FMCSA documentation when applicable.
  • Monitor and maintain an accurate DOT Hours of Service (HOS) compliance track record, ensuring traceability, audit readiness, and regulatory adherence.
  • Coordinate the availability, allocation, and utilization of light vehicles in alignment with project operational needs.
  • Administer fleet monitoring platforms (Merchants and Union Leasing), ensuring data accuracy, reporting reliability, and operational visibility.
  • Monitor and control fuel consumption, supporting cost tracking, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Support internal and external audits related to fleet operations, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Identify, report, and escalate operational risks, non-compliance issues, and improvement opportunities to management.
  • Performing all other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
