About The Position

The Yard Coordinator is responsible for all operations required to manage the flow of heavy equipment into and out of the yard. Additionally, the Yard Coordinator position requires attention to detail to manage the documentation of equipment, equipment cleanliness, and organization of the yard. The Yard Coordinator plays a key role in customer relationships through good communication and friendly customer service.

Requirements

• Ability to function well in a fast-paced and busy environment
• Must be able to communicate and understand English
• Strong customer service skills
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to move equipment around the yard
• Ability to manage time and multi-task with minimal supervision
• Must hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Must pass a background check and drug screen
• Basic computer skills
• Forklift certification, training provided by RoadBuilders
• Capable of pushing, pulling, carrying, or lifting 60lbs
• Able to climb stairs, steps, ladders, mount and dismount equipment
• Able to work in all types of weather conditions (heat, cold, wind, rain, dust, and dirt)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience operating heavy equipment

Nice To Haves

• Forklift certification is a plus

Responsibilities

• Monitor the trafficking process for all equipment that enters or leaves the yard
• Check in/Check out of equipment accurately and inspect the condition providing pictures and accurate documentation
• Participate in the preparation of equipment for rental, sale, and/or demo
• Responsible for all equipment entering the yard until transferred to service
• Support the service department, as needed
• Safe operation of all equipment located on the yard
• Wash the exterior and interior of equipment to as new condition
• Utilize technology to document machine condition, communicate with internal and external customers via email and text, and utilize systems to track working times
• Note customer damage and provide repair estimate based on experience and ability to utilize resources
• Ensure the yard is organized, clean and presentable at all times, informing management of any related concerns
• Perform other duties as assigned
