About The Position

As Kalmbach Feeds continues to grow, we are looking for passionate, hard-working team members that live our values and help us create new ideas, serve customers, improve our processes, build teams, and manage our growth. The Tribute Equine Research and Innovation (TERIC) Intern will work side by side with company Nutritionists and research farm management. They will assist individuals in a variety of areas such as day to day horse care, basic farm management duties as well as assist on research objectives. A successful individual will be able to communicate as appropriate to both staff and management to ensure a collaborative work environment throughout process changes. Assist nutritionists with day-to-day objectives and projects including daily horse care Assist with data entry and tasks for research studies Complete ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by nutritionists Understanding of how animal nutrition and feeds business interrelate Gain knowledge on equine research and the application in feed

Requirements

College junior or senior working towards a degree in equine science/animal science/nutrition or related field
Excellent written and verbal communication
Happy to commute to sites in Upper Sandusky, OH and Findlay, OH

Responsibilities

Assist nutritionists with day-to-day objectives and projects including daily horse care
Assist with data entry and tasks for research studies
Complete ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned by nutritionists
