Under the supervision of the Summer Camp Manager, the Equestrian Assistant attends to the health of all livestock and maintains the functionality and safety of farm related areas and equipment. The major responsibilities of this position include the following but are not limited to: General Responsibilities Prepare and care for all farm animals used for programming including (but not limited to): feeding, grooming, saddling and administration of medical treatments Repair and maintain animal equipment and structures Clean and organize horse tack and livestock enclosures Secure designated areas, equipment and supplies Maintain continuous inventory of supplies and report needs Complete all required logs and documentation Comply with Health and Fire Department regulations, organizational policies and accreditation standards Other duties as assigned Pathfinder Ranch was founded in 1964 to provide an escape from the desert summer heat for the children of Palm Springs.
