About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Extended Producer Data Analyst to join Bunzl's ESG team to ensure data integrity and support accurate timely reporting to support compliance and broader sustainability initiatives. This position will build, structure, clean, enrich, analyze, and validate complex data from multiple sources. This role requires strong analytical skills, experience with large datasets, and the ability to deliver actionable insights through advanced reporting and visualization tools. This position is located in the greater St. Louis, MO area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field (Business, Data Analytics, Engineering, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Computer Science, or related).
  • Minimum 2 years' experience in data analysis, data science, statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, or similar tools.
  • Demonstrated expertise in database design, data modeling, and performance. optimization.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Ability to manage large datasets and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • High level of maturity and confidence necessary to interact with sophisticated internal and external clients
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to ensure that a high level of service and quality is maintained
  • Product knowledge with clear technical understanding of services to be able to effectively communicate to customer
  • Excellent project management, organizational and planning skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks, projects and meet deadlines
  • Outstanding attention to detail, flexibility and creativity
  • Persistence coupled with the ability to communicate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment, work with minimal supervision and maintain confidentiality of shared information and/or assignments

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods industry.
  • Knowledge of packaging sustainability and circular economy principles.
  • Experience with ESG reporting platforms and data management systems.
  • Experience with Python, SQL, and Databricks or equivalent big data tools/platforms is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Knowledge of domains and categories of data and distributed datastores, request and generate reports to build integrated datasets.
  • Perform quality checks and statistical analysis to clean, normalize, and validate data.
  • Design and implement robust and flexible data models and database schemas to optimize storage, retrieval, and processing of sustainability related data.
  • Develop automated data pipelines and ELT processes to efficiently integrate, classify, estimate, and calculate data.
  • Apply compounded filters to segment data provide accurate information for regulatory compliance reporting.
  • Build dashboards and advanced visualizations using Power BI to communicate performance, sustainability metrics, and actionable insights to stakeholders.
  • Develop and document processes for data collection and quality assurance audits.
  • Review and continuously improve data processes and identify opportunities to automate collection and reporting.
  • Manage and review secure and organized file storage systems, permissions, and granular data access.
