Requirements

  • Be a graduate of Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or Equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have 2+ years' Law Enforcement/Military/Corrections Experience.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Possess a DD214 with Honorable Discharge OR Associates Degree/60 College Credits OR Police Academy Certificate OR Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Perform armed patrol duties to help to deter unauthorized activity, including regular and random patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter routes as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with on-site personnel and public responders as needed.
  • Control access at designated points by verifying identification and/or authorization, observing for unusual conditions, and reporting concerns through the appropriate channels.
  • Complete detailed reports and logs related to patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations, and communicate updates to supervision in a timely manner.
