You will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for assistance with clear communication and calm judgment. You will document observations, coordinate with site contacts, and bring agile, reliable teamwork and integrity to every shift while delivering a caring, people-first experience.

Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a Law Enforcement or Military Police Training Program or equivalent.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military, and/or corrections experience.
  • Hold a Corrections Officer License.
  • Provide a DD214 with honorable discharge or an Associates Degree with 60 college credits or a Police Academy Certificate or a Corrections Academy Certificate.
  • Hold a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of assigned areas, buildings, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and/or public agency partners as directed.
  • Monitor access points and perform security-related checks, including verifying identification and/or authorization and maintaining awareness of restricted areas.
  • Document patrol activities, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate significant information to supervision and/or the client representative.
