About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

  • Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
  • Possess a college degree.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
  • Possess a Corrections Officer License.
  • Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
  • Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from local first responders when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
  • Prepare detailed activity and incident reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts, supervisors, and/or law enforcement personnel regarding security-related concerns.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
