About The Position

As a Security Officer Armed Patrol Response in El Paso, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Requirements

Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
Possess a college degree.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Have 2+ years of law enforcement, military, or corrections experience.
Possess a Corrections Officer License.
Possess a DD214 with honorable discharge or an associate degree or 60 college credits or a police academy certificate or a corrections academy certificate.
Possess a Law Enforcement Officer License.
Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including requesting assistance from local first responders when needed.
Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
Monitor entrances, restricted areas, and/or public access points, verify credentials when required, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or policy violations.
Prepare detailed activity and incident reports, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts, supervisors, and/or law enforcement personnel regarding security-related concerns.
Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
