About The Position
Mickey Truck Bodies is seeking an experienced Epicor Principal Software Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our Epicor ERP environment. This role is a senior-level technical position responsible for solution architecture, system customization, integrations, and technical leadership across ERP initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field. Equivalent work experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional software development experience, including substantial hands-on experience with Epicor ERP (preferably Epicor Kinetic and related modules- Finance, Manufacturing, supply chain) and working on Epicor customizations, implementations, and integrations.
- Proven experience mentoring technical teams, particularly in ERP software development and Epicor-specific solutions.
- Understanding of cloud computing principles, specifically in the context of ERP solutions. Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure,
- Proficiency in managing and optimizing SQL databases (particularly SQL Server) used in Epicor ERP systems.
- Proficient in C#, .NET, SQL, and Epicor’s customization languages (if applicable).
- Proficient in building configurators in Epicor Classic Configurator and/or CPQ
- Strong troubleshooting skills to resolve complex technical issues related to performance, functionality, and integration within the Epicor system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong presentation skills for delivering technical findings, updates, and strategies to senior management and clients.
- Strong ability to make technical decisions that balance business needs with system limitations while ensuring long-term sustainability.
Responsibilities
- Lead solution design and architecture for scalable, maintainable Epicor ERP solutions
- Customize and extend Epicor Kinetic to meet business needs
- Design and support integrations with third-party systems and cloud platforms
- Provide technical leadership and enforce coding best practices
- Conduct code reviews and ensure high-quality, maintainable solutions
- Collaborate with business users and IT leadership
- Troubleshoot complex ERP issues
- Mentor junior and mid-level developers
- Maintain technical documentation
